About The Position

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and outpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Physician Assistant - Electrophysiology Procedural to: Be an active member of the cross-functional team, by providing comprehensive care to both well and ill adult patients in inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings at University Hospital and UnityPoint Health - Meriter. Manage pre and post procedure patients: cardiac ablations, device-based procedures, extractions, cardioversions, and implantable loop recorders, as well as inpatient consults. First assist with pacemaker device placements, generator replacements, ablation procedures, lead extractions, and lead revisions. Independently perform cardioversions, loop recorder implantations, and loop explants. Perform independent clinic visits (local and regional) for electrophysiology patients. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited PA program Required or Master's Degree from accredited PA program Preferred
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice Upon Hire Required
  • Active PA board certification Upon Hire Required
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such a license Upon Hire Required
