FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: M-F For more information, please contact kelly.graves@multicare.org Position Summary The Outpatient Neurology Physician Assistant (“PA”) is a key clinical partner within the Neuroscience service line, providing comprehensive care for adult patients with a wide range of neurologic conditions. This role supports and extends neurologic expertise in the outpatient setting, with opportunities to care for general neurology patients and collaborate on subspecialty interests including stroke, movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, and headache. The PA works closely with neurology physicians, other APPs, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. With access to advanced neurodiagnostic tools, coordinated referrals, and integrated care teams, the PA contributes meaningfully to the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of chronic and acute neurologic conditions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with national certification
  • Current licensure in the state of Washington (or ability to obtain by start date)
  • Phyician Assistant Certification by NCCPA
  • DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Neurology experience preferred; new graduates with strong interest in neurology encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neurologic assessments including history-taking and focused neurologic exams
  • Manage patients with general neurology needs such as migraines, seizures, Parkinson’s disease, and peripheral neuropathy
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and specialists to formulate individualized care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, MRI, CT, and EEG (as appropriate to scope and site)
  • Provide longitudinal care and follow-up for chronic neurologic conditions
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medication plans, symptom tracking, and lifestyle interventions
  • Coordinate referrals to physical therapy, neuropsychology, imaging, and subspecialty consultations
  • Accurately document clinical encounters and support regulatory compliance
  • Participate in team huddles, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities
