About The Position

Physician - Cardiothoracic Radiologist The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join our growing academic faculty within the Department of Radiology. Key Position Highlights Dedicated thoracic/chest imaging practice within a comprehensive academic medical center Full spectrum of thoracic imaging , including chest radiography, thoracic CT (including low-dose lung cancer screening CT), high-resolution CT, and chest MRI Interpretation of advanced thoracic imaging studies , including CT angiography for pulmonary embolism, interstitial lung disease imaging, lung cancer staging, and complex pulmonary and mediastinal pathology Interpretation of advanced cardiac imaging including Cardiac CT and MRI (coronary CTA, structural exams, congenital CMR) Participation in multidisciplinary collaboration with pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology through tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences High-quality technologist and nursing support, with efficient workflows and robust IT/PACS infrastructure Faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications and academic interests, offering involvement in resident and fellow education as well as opportunities to pursue research or advance clinical programs

Requirements

  • MD or DO (or equivalent)
  • ABR board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Completion of a 12-month Cardiothoracic and/or Cardiovascular Imaging fellowship
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Responsibilities
