About The Position

Position Highlights: Position: Physician Executive, Critical Care Location: Evanston, IL (with oversight across 8 hospitals: Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Skokie, Swedish, Northwest Community, Edward, Elmhurst) Full Time: Full-Time; 40 hours/week Required Travel: Travel across sites as needed What You Will Do: Lead Endeavor Health Critical Care programs, overseeing 65 intensivists, 46 APPs, 17 ICU nocturnists, and trainees. Partner with hospital and EHMG leadership to build physician/APP care models that are safe, cost-effective, and consistent. Drive clinical performance, quality, and operational consistency across all ICUs. Oversee regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and clinical standards. Develop scholarly, teaching, and research initiatives aligned with organizational priorities. Collaborate across ED, hospital medicine, surgery, and anesthesia to ensure seamless patient care and capacity management. Lead dissemination of best practices, process improvement, and innovation (telemedicine, AI, simulation). Partner with administrative leaders on budgeting, financial performance, and service line strategy. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Eligible for medical license in Illinois
  • Board certified in Critical Care
  • Maintain 0.4 FTE clinical practice
  • Minimum 10 years clinical critical care experience
  • Minimum 5 years administrative leadership experience (Medical Director, Vice Chair, Division Chief, or similar)
  • Strategic, innovative, and results-oriented leader
  • Strong business acumen and financial oversight experience
  • Proven ability to lead complex, matrixed organizations
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influence skills
  • Commitment to inclusive culture, health equity, and high-quality patient care

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or leadership degree preferred
