About The Position

Corewell Health Community Medicine Clinic is looking for a skilled physician to join their busy practice caring for patients across the generational spectrum located in the heart of Grand Rapids. Interested in working to improve the overall wellness of Grand Rapids' homeless and low-income residents, regardless of resources or ability to pay? This is perhaps our most important service as the health of any community depends on all its residents' health. The Corewell Health Medical Group Community Medicine Clinic offers full-service primary care with after-hours on-call nurse triage for urgent needs. We have an integrated behavioral health model to serve populations seeking to access mental health services in the community. Our goal is to help develop patient-centered care plans. We also provide support and education with a nurse case manager who specializes in the management of patients with chronic diseases. We support individuals and family members who are struggling with mental health disorders, including substance use disorder and addiction, and help connect patients with substance use disorder services in the community. We provide LGBT-aware care with on-site transgender healthcare. Additionally, we work closely with homeless populations and newly arrived refugees. Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree
  • BE/BC Family/Internal Medicine
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
