About The Position

Please be advised, this opportunity does not allow for J1 waiver. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team as a Hospitalist. The Physician Hospitalist provides comprehensive inpatient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of hospitalization. The Hospitalist Physician works on a shift-based schedule and does not accrue PTO or CME days. This position offers strong clinical support, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement, education, and program development.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Eligibility for state medical licensure
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
  • Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
  • Patient Care And Procedural Skills
  • Professional Etiquette
  • Systems-Based Practice

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience
  • Experience working in a team-based, high-acuity inpatient setting
  • Interest in quality improvement, education, or leadership initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for hospitalized patients
  • Coordinate care with consulting specialists, nursing, case management, and ancillary services
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes and length of stay
  • Respond to rapid responses/codes as assigned by the department
  • Support patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring of residents, medical students, or advanced practice providers, as applicable
  • Comply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
