About The Position

The Physician Practice Nurse – Oncology provides comprehensive nursing support within an outpatient oncology practice, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care to individuals undergoing evaluation and treatment for cancer and hematologic conditions. Key responsibilities include clinical triage, patient assessment, coordination of care, treatment preparation, patient and family education, and ongoing symptom management. The nurse ensures safe and efficient clinic flow, supports adherence to evidence‑based oncology protocols, and facilitates communication across providers, departments, and external partners. The position requires advanced clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to support patients through complex treatment journeys with compassion, precision, and professionalism.
