About The Position

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a board eligible/certified Pediatrician for Richland Pediatrics, a Children’s Community Practice with locations in Mansfield and Shelby, Ohio. Pediatricians working at this community practice will be employees of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The practice has a long-standing presence in the community with nearly 2100 active patients. Both facilities offer behavioral health support. The Mansfield office is attached to the Close to Home with access to lab/radiology, and other specialty services. The pediatrician will provide quality, comprehensive primary health care to patients, actively participate in community health initiatives, and quality of care improvement activities.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required.
• Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable, required.
• Medical License in the State of Ohio, required.
• Unrestricted licensed physician, required.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, required.
• Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the needs of the division.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
• Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
• Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required.
• Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care.
