About The Position

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Physiotherapists (HP3) to join us in a Permanent, Full-Time or Part-time role. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. As a Physiotherapist at Mater, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care across a variety of clinical settings. You will deliver evidence-based interventions, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes across the lifespan. You are a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist with a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care in a collaborative team environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
  • Clinical expertise in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support patient care planning
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
  • Experience in an acute or hospital-based physiotherapy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the following acute hospital specialties would be highly regarded: ICU/Cardiorespiratory, Maternity, Outpatients, NICU, and Paediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients across a range of clinical presentations.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based care in line with professional, departmental, and organisational standards.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and support patient-centred care planning.
  • Participate in quality and service improvement initiatives, translating research and evidence into practice.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support students, junior staff, and allied health assistants.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service evaluation and reporting.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
