About The Position

Overview Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is currently seeking a qualified and safety-minded CDL driver to join our team at our Albany, OR Freightliner Northwest/Gordon Truck Centers location in a part time, on-call capacity. The ideal candidate will have a current CDL with minimum required endorsements: trailer and passenger. Hours can very depending on needs. This role supports the GTC/FNW Service Department, picking up and delivering service customer vehicles. Helping customers satisfy their transportation needs since 1986, Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. Requirements

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience : Must have valid CDL driver’s license and be insurable with a clean driving record.
• 3 years commercial over the road experience.
• Qualifications : Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must be professional and safety minded at all times.
• Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
• Must adhere to all DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their place of business within the specified regional area.
• Knowledge of all laws and regulations as they pertain to transporting commercial vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to communicate customers concerns and needs in an honest and professional manner to service advisors.
• Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work with limited supervision.
• Must have flexibility with schedules as some extended work hours may be required depending on the business need.
• Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmissions
• Any other duties as assigned.
