What You’ll Do Planner II supports planning, forecasting, and analysis of service parts and product-related requirements to ensure material availability in the right location, in the right quantities, and at the right time. You will operate within a defined planning scope, applying your foundational planning expertise while executing standard planning processes This role requires a quick learner with a genuine desire to improve, an eagerness to expand their capabilities, and a strong analytical curiosity and critical thinking. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; emphasis in Supply Chain or Engineering, Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 2–4 years of inventory management, supply planning, or demand planning experience (including KPI management).
  • Proficient with ERP/supply chain systems (Oracle, SAP, SPP, or similar).
  • Self-motivated, accountable, strong project management and innovation skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability; proven use of data-driven analysis to develop solutions.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong collaborator with internal teams and customers.
  • Sound business acumen and understanding of key business drivers.
  • Effective problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and structed learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor background strongly preferred, especially in Parts, Warranty, or Service.
  • Familiar with Tableau, Power BI, SQL.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex data sets to identify trends and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Planning Execution: Support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and material planning activities within assigned product or lifecycle scope. Execute planning activities using enterprise planning systems to align supply and demand. Support planning deliverables related to NPI readiness, ECO planning, sustaining operations, and transitions.
  • Analysis & Problem Solving: Perform part shortage analysis, root cause analysis, and basic scenario evaluation. Identify risks related to material availability, service levels, or transitions and escalate with supporting data. Support corrective action implementation under established processes and guidance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Business Units, Service Business Units, Operations, Logistics, and Regional Planning partners to resolve planning issues. Act as a planning point-of-contact within defined scope, communicating status and risks clearly and professionally.
  • Process & System Discipline: Maintain accuracy of planning data and support adherence to standard planning processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning tools, processes, and data quality.
  • Learning & Development: Build understanding of product lifecycle planning concepts and Applied Materials business drivers. Develop planning judgment by understanding downstream impacts of planning decisions. Progress from executing defined plans to identifying risk and proposing improvements.
