About The Position

The Planning Intern will assist in supporting the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of production schedules to ensure materials and capacities are available to meet customer demands. This role involves collecting and analyzing data, supporting production execution, and providing assistance to full-time planners and production teams.
This is a summer internship opportunity, ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and supply chain industry

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, or related fields
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of production planning or supply chain processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing planning and production execution data, including work orders, prioritization, capacity constraints, and production monitoring.
• Support maintaining MRP planning and scheduling parameters for "make" items.
• Analyze production reports and help in the timely release of work orders.
• Work with production teams to assist in prioritization and resolving production imbalances.
• Contribute to preparing shortage and backlog reports, flagging potential interruptions.
• Support in monitoring production progress against scheduling needs.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve lead times, and decrease costs.
• Report scheduling, capacity, and production data as defined by the Master Schedule policy.
