The Planning Production Control Analyst will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of production factories or programs such as releasing production work orders and controlling WIP levels to support factory schedule demands. This individual will support the associated tasks listed below which are necessary to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact on the factory and/or program’s cost and schedule requirements. This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvements. This is a second shift position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum two (2) years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with either Planning/Production Control or Inventory.
  • Experience with SAP or PRISM.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system
  • Ability to analyze numerous reports to ensure the maintenance of MRP data integrity
  • Understanding of inventory balances, usage and scrap
  • Able to prioritize work in process and coordinate appropriate functional areas to resolve any material shortages.
  • Able to analyze inventory levels, inventory positioning, planned production and sales forecasts with a knowledge of SAP/PRISM and troubleshooting front-line shop floor issues
  • Solid understanding of Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing production work orders and tracking material though the assembly process

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material though the assembly process.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering
  • Prioritizing work in process and coordinating with appropriate functional areas to resolve any material shortages
  • Ensuring the proper analysis of inventory balances, usage, scrap, and shrinkage, and coordinate appropriate action
  • Coordinating with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods
