About The Position

The Planogram Analyst – Meijer at Kraft Heinz is responsible for developing accurate, data-driven planograms and driving shelf productivity across Meijer stores. The role converts category strategy, shopper insights, and Meijer merchandising guidelines into optimized modulars that improve product visibility, sales performance, and in‑store execution. In addition, the position supports the Category Management team with Meijer‑focused insights, analysis, and reporting to enhance category leadership and strengthen the joint business partnership with the retailer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in planogramming, category management, merchandising analytics, or a CPG/retail analytical role.
  • Proficiency with Blue Yonder/JDA (required or highly preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation).
  • Familiarity with syndicated data sources (Nielsen/IRI) and retailer POS systems as well good to know Numerator.
  • Ability to interpret and synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to support customer-facing discussions.
  • High attention to detail with strong layout and visualization capability.
  • Collaborative mindset to engage Sales, Category, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple planogram cycles with strong organizational discipline.
  • Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed
  • Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule
  • Travel up to 20% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Meijer or other major U.S. grocery retailers is a plus.
  • Understanding of CPG categories (preferably food & beverage).

Responsibilities

  • Build, optimize, and maintain Meijer‑specific planograms across assigned Kraft Heinz categories using Blue Yonder/JDA.
  • Translate Kraft Heinz and Meijer category strategies into shoppable, space‑efficient shelf layouts that support category growth and shopper behavior.
  • Conduct space-to-sales and SKU productivity analysis to recommend optimal facings, flow, and adjacencies.
  • Support new product launches, distribution changes, and modular resets with accurate and timely planogram updates.
  • Partner with Sales, Category, and Meijer teams to understand retailer expectations, promotional strategy, and category priorities.
  • Deliver planogram walkthroughs, documentation, and guidance for reset execution and cross-functional alignment.
  • Maintain accurate product dimensions, images, packaging updates, and attributes within Blue Yonder.
  • Validate physical product measurements and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Manage version control, archiving, and documentation for all modular updates.
  • Analyze Meijer POS, inventory performance, and modular productivity to identify opportunities related to assortment, shelf space, and merchandising.
  • Provide insights on SKU profitability, space elasticity, and shopper flow behavior.
  • Track implementation quality using Meijer audit tools and field feedback when available.
  • Assist Category Management with Meijer‑specific reporting, including trends, distribution gaps, pricing, and competitive activity.
  • Support line reviews, category reviews, and joint business planning with shelf-based insights and visual storytelling.
  • Build concise dashboards or scorecards to support Meijer’s business rhythm.
