Description:
Our client is a Kent based enterprise looking to recruit a Finance professional to join their team on a FTC basis for a twelve to eighteen month period.
The Plant Accountant role would involve duties at the Assistant Financial Controller level with a focus on supporting the Financial Controller in accounting, reporting and control.
Key tasks attributed to the role include:
-Completing timetabled month-end postings; SAP and HFM, budget and forecasting processes, balance sheet reconciliation and calculated monthly energy accrual.
-Managing site maintenance, including managing stock costing, spend, and monitoring margin optimisation.
-Responsibility for cross-business area transfers for sales and working capital.
-Operational reporting across the enterprise: ensure operations, management and division performance is monitored whilst maintaining budgetary controls and monitoring capital expenditure.
-Maintaining fixed assets register with regularly reported performance checks.
-The analysis of variance reporting in order to ensure variances are investigated thorougly and costs are charged to the appropriate areas.
-Ensuring compliance with annual tax packs alongside enforcing key controls for FMP/Sarbox regulations and Government returns including EC Sales Listing and Intrastat.
-Responding to Departmental heads in regards to financial queries, providing guidance in reference to cost control/reduction and benchmarking exercises.
The role offers a competitive holiday package and would ideally suit somebody with SAP experience and a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
