About The Position

Plant Asset Reliability Manager You start your morning walking the production floor of a fast-paced packaging manufacturer just north of Cincinnati. Overnight performance is solid, the CMMS shows a few priority work orders, and a predictive vibration alert flags an extruder gearbox trending out of spec. You huddle with your maintenance technicians, assign resources, verify safety lockouts, and coordinate with Production so uptime targets stay on track. By afternoon, you’re closing a root-cause analysis, refining the PM plan, and reviewing a vendor proposal for a capital upgrade—another step toward a safer, more reliable plant. Requirements

  • Proven success as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting strengths.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement; Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Fluent with CMMS tools and maintenance planning best practices.
  • Degree or technical qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end maintenance function—mechanical, electrical, and preventive/predictive programs—to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Coach, develop, and performance-manage a team of maintenance technicians; ensure strong onboarding, training, and engagement.
  • Implement and continuously improve PM/PdM strategies (RCM, Lean, Six Sigma approaches) that extend asset life and protect product quality.
  • Diagnose failures and coordinate timely, safe repairs; champion root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Administer the CMMS: schedules, work orders, asset histories, and KPIs.
  • Steward safety, quality, and environmental compliance in every task and procedure.
  • Oversee budgets, MRO/spare parts inventories, and third-party service providers.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to hit operational targets and reduce disruptions.
  • Lead or support capital projects and facility upgrades that improve throughput and reliability.
