About The Position
As a Plant Biology Research Intern at Foray, you will support hands-on work at the intersection of Plant Biology, Biomanufacturing, and AI aimed at growing molecules, materials, and seeds directly from plant cells. You’ll assist with sterile technique, media preparation, experimental execution, and data collection, contributing to process optimization efforts that power our AI-enabled plant production platform. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and excited about translating plant biology into real-world impact.
Requirements
- Experience operating in a chemistry or biology lab environment
- Attentive to detail
- Curiosity driven and excited to learn complex biological systems
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of plant biology, strong interest in plants and plant products
- Experience working with cells using sterile technique
Responsibilities
- Work with scientific team to design and execute experiments
- Support development of new methods to monitor cell behavior in culture systems
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for wider lab adoption
- Participate in lab-supporting tasks: media preparation, subculturing, culture monitoring
