About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, you will manage the planning and direction of departmental projects for two manufacturing facilities, while overseeing the efficient operation and cost effectiveness of financial systems and programs. You will provide leadership to staff, partner with business stakeholders to support sound financial decisions, and lead small teams and ad hoc project groups. You will perform business partnering, analytics, annual operating plan and strategic planning work, monthly forecasting, metrics and scorecard development, and period close responsibilities. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Multi-site responsibilities over Marshall, MO and Macon, MO plants. Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees while supporting their development. Coach, counsel, and guide employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; conduct training; and implement systems, policies, and procedures. Serve as a business partner for Operations on all accounting and finance matters, assessing needs, resolving risks and opportunities, and communicating results. Lead preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan and strategic plan for assigned portions of the profit and loss statement and related balance sheet accounts. Manage the monthly financial forecast and provide forward looking, actionable insights to business partners. Participate in monthly consensus meetings related to volume, capital expenditures, and other supply chain activities. Lead month end and quarter end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of unusual items. Deliver comprehensive financial analysis and business models for product development, customer analysis, competitive analysis, pricing, and other business needs. Lead project work across financial disciplines including financial planning and analysis, new product development, manufacturing investments, and in market investments. Develop metrics, scorecards, and reporting for assigned functions and deliver periodic updates to leadership. Provide financial planning and analysis support as needed. Participate in or lead finance wide projects based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum seven years of professional business and financial experience.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Proven drive and comfort working in a dynamic, fast paced environment with ambiguity and change.
  • Background in cost accounting, profit and loss statement management and familiarity with financial systems and general accounting concepts.
  • Strong relationship building skills with internal partners and peers.
  • Demonstrated experience working across departments to lead or complete projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Critical thinking skills including analytics, benchmarking, and insight generation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant/Certified Management Accountant preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or similar tools preferred.
