About The Position

Provides day-to-day technical and regulatory support for environmental media/operational subjects (air, stormwater, wastewater, tanks, material usage, Environmental Operating System (EOS), ISO 14001, plant reports, decommissioning, remediation, permitting, regulatory communications, analytical testing, plant audits, spill response, etc.) Supports achievement of the EQO and Manufacturing business plan objectives and targets (compliance index, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions, water usage, waste generation and disposed, energy efficiency, and hydrocarbon (oil consumption)). Develops accurate and complete correspondence (reports, permit applications, etc.) to support facility / manufacturing environmental compliance and business plan objectives and targets. Manages Total Waste Management contract. Ensures waste (all special, non-hazardous, universal and hazardous wastes) is managed, stored and disposed of according to regulatory and corporate environmental requirements. Provides required environmental waste training to plant employees as required. Supports technical aspects of environmental systems at facilities (Environmental Operating System, environmental reserves, facility decommissioning activities and plant projects, compliance assurance, manufacturing management reviews, etc.) Builds strong, productive working relationships with environmental professionals and manufacturing /non-manufacturing contacts throughout the Company at facilities and staff levels. Supports facility and product programs through necessary permit actions, capacity planning studies and environmental project funding requests. Supports WWTP Operations and wastewater reuse to ensure regulatory requirements are met along with business plan objectives and targets. Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years experience as environmental engineer in a manufacturing setting.
  • 1+ years of Microsoft office application experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate / Master's level degree in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical engineering degree
