Plant Maint Mechanic I
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment to support safe and reliable operations. Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to identify issues and maintain equipment performance. Install, align, and adjust mechanical components to ensure optimal functionality. Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Capability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Commitment to working safely and following established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and apply new skills to support plant operations.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
