About The Position

SRM Concrete is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Regional Plant Maintenance Manager to support and lead maintenance operations across multiple plant locations within an assigned region. This role is heavily field-based and requires a strong technical background, the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems, and a commitment to keeping plants operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a working leader who spends significant time in the field, assisting with major repairs, mentoring technicians, and ensuring equipment reliability through direct involvement. Requirements

  • Strong hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, aggregates, or concrete plant environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and welding.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy industrial equipment.
  • Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or vocational certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently between plant locations.
  • Willingness to respond to emergency breakdowns, including after-hours support when needed.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen, SRM’s pre-employment physical, and consent to background checks, including Clearinghouse and MVR checks.

  • Prior experience leading or mentoring maintenance teams preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Travel regularly between assigned plant locations to provide on-site maintenance leadership and technical support.
  • Assist plant maintenance technicians with complex troubleshooting and major equipment repairs.
  • Step in during critical breakdowns to support rapid diagnosis and resolution.
  • Ensure plants are maintaining equipment according to established preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct field inspections of conveyors, batching systems, motors, electrical components, hydraulic systems, plumbing, and structural elements.
  • Support welding, fabrication, and reinforcement of plant structures and equipment as needed.
  • Identify recurring mechanical or electrical issues and implement practical, field-driven solutions.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance practices meet company standards.
  • Provide direct mentorship and technical guidance to maintenance technicians across the region.
  • Lead by example in safety practices, work ethic, and quality standards.
  • Assist in training technicians on proper repair techniques, troubleshooting methods, and safe work procedures.
  • Promote strong communication and coordination between plant managers and maintenance personnel.
