As Plant Operator you will be responsible for; Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment plant equipment including pumps, filtration systems, chemical feed systems, and related infrastructure. Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems and make adjustments to treatment processes as needed. Maintain proper chemical dosage levels to ensure effective treatment. Collect samples and perform basic water quality testing. Read meters, gauges, and instrumentation and maintain accurate operational logs and reports. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating equipment. Monitor and assist with operation of Allen Bradley PLC-based control systems. Respond to equipment malfunctions, alarms, and emergency situations in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Communicate operational updates and issues with supervisors and plant staff. Participate in training and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment plant operations or a related industrial environment.
  • Understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes.
  • Experience working with SCADA systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Ability to read gauges, meters, and operational diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
