Working together towards our mission of nothing wasted, every resource reborn. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Plant Supervisor to join our team. What you get to do: Manage all aspects of operations related to the production site, including on-site logistics, product quality, metals recovery, maintenance and management of all site personnel, as well as compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Completed technical school program; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Licenses or certifications as required by local, state, federal, environmental and/or health/safety regulatory agencies
  • 3-5 years’ relevant work experience as a plant manager or plant supervisor in a production environment, specifically relating to plant maintenance and operations; experience maintaining equipment and performing electrical troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience managing outside contractors / vendors
  • Knowledge of small mobile equipment and heavy equipment operation
  • Strong people management experience and ability to apply consistent discipline
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within tight time constraints and to lead, manage and motivate teams to achieve results
  • Ability to operate independently while demonstrating outstanding communication and decision-making skills; ability to delegate tasks and ensure follow-through

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operation schedules and coordinate activities to ensure product quantity and quality, recovery of metals, and all on-site logistics.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of all plant operational staff—including front-end loader, trucks and excavators—and maintain positive morale.
  • Become a technical expert on the operation’s systems and processes.
  • Coordinate, program, plan and schedule all plant maintenance and production requirements.
  • Maintain records of required spare parts components.
  • Maintain and enforce all Company environmental compliance, safety and health requirements, policies, procedures and rules.
  • Train all site personnel in safety procedures and equipment use, plant operating procedures, and environmental standards and compliance.
  • Make frequent daily rounds of the installation to ensure proper operation of equipment, materials storage and handling, installation security, cleanliness, adherence to operating procedures, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate with local contractors to procure, negotiate and execute site necessities, as well as tasks that the on-site team is unable to perform; tasks may include but not be limited to heavy equipment and front-end loader operation, uniform supply, etc.
  • Implement an effective training program that ensures employees meet minimum requirements of job classification and are adequately prepared to assume all responsibilities of their assigned positions.
  • Maintain outstanding client relations and proactive communication with the client; act as the main on-site Company representative and interface with the client.
  • Provide customer service relationship management to the Company’s clients and partners.
  • Assist the engineering and finance teams in developing operational and maintenance budgets and strategies.
  • Develop operational performance and productivity goals in conjunction with senior management via the annual business plan, and continuously strive to meet or exceed those goals.
  • Proactively provide on-site support for problem solving.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports and KPIs to senior management as required.
