About The Position

AO Multispecialty Clinic is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery team in Augusta, Georgia.
This provider will work closely with a board-certified plastic surgeon in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment supporting both reconstructive and cosmetic patients. The role includes clinic responsibilities, surgical assisting, and in-office procedures within scope of practice.
Candidates with prior plastic surgery, surgical subspecialty, dermatology, or aesthetic experience are strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active and unrestricted Georgia license (or eligibility)
• National board certification required
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in plastic surgery, surgical subspecialty, dermatology, or aesthetics strongly preferred
• Surgical assisting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history, physical examination, and surgical assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising surgeon
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including follow-up visits
• Assist in surgical procedures in the operating room
• Perform in-office procedures within scope of practice (e.g., suturing, wound care, minor procedures, injectables if qualified)
• Educate patients regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards
• Support patient satisfaction and practice growth initiatives
