The Processing Plater Lead is responsible for overseeing plating processes, including setup, validation, and verification of products. This role ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting production and leading a team of operators. The lead is also responsible for immediate corrective actions for nonconforming products and ensuring regulatory and company compliance. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following: Plating & Processing Processing to be ran are the following: Abrasive cleaning & Glass beading, Titanium Descaling (Hot Salt), Part Washing using Modified Alcohol, Aluminum Anodize Sorting, Copper strip, Strip Phosphate, Passivation, Electroplating (Cadmium & Nickel), Aluminum Anodizing, Titanium Anodizing, Chemical Conversion (Chromate), Ion Vapor Deposition (IVD), Phosphate-Fluoride, X-Ray thickness.Perform various plating and cleaning processes including cadmium, nickel, anodizing, passivation, copper strip, grit blast, aqueous wash, and hot salt.Operate plating equipment such as spin dryers, hoists, bake ovens, and sandblasters. Assist lab technicians with tank chemical additions and makeups. Monitor chemical handling, tank levels, and schedules to avoid spills or waste system overloads. Ensure compliance with safety rules, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assign work for operators following planning scheduleOversee tank maintenance schedules and inventory levels for plating materials. Monitor equipment functionality and report or resolve maintenance needs. Support safe and organized storage and use of plating materials. Lead or mentor team members in plating operations when required. Handle chemical processing of parts per customer and internal specifications. Monitor plating tanks and safely transfer chemicals using pumps when necessary. Perform Spot Audits on operators to ensure quality is met and work procedures are followed.Lead PSM meeting for team Equipment Operation & Maintenance Inspect and monitor equipment daily, report malfunctions to the Lead or Supervisor. Ensure all tools and machines are operated safely and maintained in good working condition. Quality & Compliance Follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to ensure product quality. Meet all internal and customer plating specifications and standards. Identify and escalate any nonconformance issues or deviations in process. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and plating specifications Safety/ Compliance: Adheres and implements all company HSE policies, procedures, and practices.
