About The Position

The Play Care Associate provides safe, fun, and secure care for children of Kroc Center members and guests. Each Associate will provide age-appropriate activities and experiences for those assigned to his/her care. The use of superior customer service in providing such care to each child is required. Must be able to be flexible in support of the Kroc Center team in all areas of center operation, as needed and assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a program designed to result in such achievement required.
• Current CPR/AED required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English; proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Must have ability to work and relate well with people.
• Must meet all Child Protection Clearances requirements to include PA Act 153 Child Abuse History Clearance; PA State Police Criminal Record Check; FBI Criminal Record Check and completion of PA Act 153 of 2014 Mandated Reporter training on recognizing and reporting child abuse prior to employment with recurrent training and clearance renewal required every five years thereafter.
• Must have an appreciation for and be able to embrace the Mission of The Salvation Army.

• Education or experience in childcare or related setting preferred.
