About The Position

Join Our Team as a School Playground Monitor for our William Brooks Elementary School located in El Dorado Hills. Part-time position: Work hours are 4 hours per day; 10:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. - Monday through Friday during the school year. ( note: Wednesday work hours are 3.25 hours per day - 10:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) Buckeye Union School District is committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Role Overview The School Playground Monitor plays a crucial role in ensuring students are safe and supervised during recess and other outdoor activities. This position involves actively monitoring the playground, mediating conflicts, and promoting positive play behaviors among students.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to remain vigilant and attentive to student activities
Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with children, preferred
First Aid and CPR certification, preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor students during recess and outdoor activities
Ensure student safety by enforcing playground rules and guidelines
Mediating conflicts and promoting positive behavior among students
Respond promptly to any injuries and provide basic first aid assistance
Communicate with teachers and school administration about any issues or incidents
Maintain a clean and orderly playground environment
