About The Position

PLC/HMI Systems Integration Engineer (Contract) A day in your 2:00 pm – 12:00 am shift You badge in at 2:00 pm, open your latest CAD schematics, and put the finishing touches on an electrical/control wiring update. An hour later, you’re loading a new PLC routine to an Allen-Bradley controller, validating HMI tags, and watching the line come to life. As production ramps, you’re shoulder-to-shoulder with maintenance, diagnosing a sensor fault, tweaking relay logic, and confirming power calculations and cable sizing are spot-on. Before midnight, you document the changes, align with suppliers on a component swap, and capture ideas for a vision-based error-proofing upgrade. How you’ll make an impact Design and revise electrical and control wiring schematics using CAD tools. Program, commission, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley preferred). Support installation, start-up, and debugging of automated equipment and lines. Perform system interfacing, power/load calculations, and cable/conductor sizing. Develop and refine machine logic, relay logic, and overarching control architectures. Upgrade and enhance existing machinery, fixtures, and automated assembly systems. Diagnose equipment issues and provide hands-on support to the maintenance team. Create and maintain thorough controls documentation, standards, and procedures. Advance continuous improvement, including error-proofing strategies and vision systems. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
