About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLC Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing and industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated automation systems to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise will support the seamless operation of complex machinery, sensors, and control systems across our facilities. Requirements

  • Extensive experience with industrial electrical systems, including low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) applications.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs) from various manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with calibration techniques for sensors, vision inspection systems, and CNC equipment.
  • Ability to read complex schematics, technical drawings (AutoCAD), and control system diagrams accurately.
  • Experience working with distributed control systems (DCS), sensors, calibration tools, and vision inspection technology.
  • Hands-on experience with field service operations in manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of safety protocols related to high voltage work and industrial electrical standards.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues promptly and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for system layout design or modifications is a plus.
  • Exposure to military-grade equipment or systems is advantageous for roles requiring robust technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems, including programming and updating logic as needed to support manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of sensors, vision inspection systems, CNC machines, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, AutoCAD diagrams, and control system schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Perform electrical work involving low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Support field service activities by diagnosing equipment failures on-site, replacing faulty components, and restoring system functionality swiftly.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades involving distributed control systems (DCS), Calypso software, or vision inspection systems to optimize performance.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and multimeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and sensor networks.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, calibrations, system modifications, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
