About The Position

The Facilities Division is hiring a Plumber Licensed that performs journeyman plumber duties in the construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, repair, remodeling or removal and replacement of plumbing.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Install and remove plumbing lines, pipes and fixtures after existing plumbing systems.
Operate plumbing tools and equipment.
Inspect, repair and/or replace leaking lines, faucets and plumbing equipment.
Maintain records and reports.
Read blueprints and specifications.
Supervise contractors and inspects contractors completed work including construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, repair, remodeling or removal and replacement of plumbing.
Inspect lines, fixtures and equipment to determine repairs and makes recommendations to management for major maintenance projects.
Assist other trade personnel with associated duties.

• SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed as a journeyman plumber by the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction. https://dhbc.ky.gov/ https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/chapter.aspx?id=38833 Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
