About The Position

UAA Anchorage Campus Facilities Maintenance and Operations Department is seeking to fill one position in our Mechanical Plumbing Shop for a Plumber as a CT1, CT2, or CT3 based on years of relatable experience. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair work such as preventive maintenance on appliances and cooling equipment in the 50+ buildings on campus. We’ll rely on you to conduct job assessments, create quotes and estimates, and research part replacements. Honesty and reliability are essential to our team. We are looking for someone with experience in the plumbing trade with knowledge in all elements of plumbing installation and maintenance. Requirements

  • CT-1: 3 years of experience in the plumbing trade. Familiarity with building automation, experience in piping systems to include domestic water and waste water. Experience in heating and cooling systems to include experience in a commercial or industrial field.
  • CT-2: 10 years of experience in the plumbing trade to include journeyman certification. To include CT-1 duties as well as advanced knowledge in the mechanical field in relation to heating, cooling, piping, pumping and air handling.
  • CT-3: 15 years of experience in the plumbing trade to include journeyman certification. To include CT-2 duties as well as master level knowledge in the mechanical field.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.
