About The Position

The Plumber Apprentice assists licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or currently working toward one).
  • Interest in pursuing a career in plumbing or skilled trades.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (typically up to 50 lbs).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
  • Help diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and system malfunctions.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working.
  • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and plumbing layouts.
  • Assist with installation of sinks, toilets, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in training programs and coursework related to plumbing apprenticeship.
  • Other duties as assigned.
