About The Position

The Plumbing Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, piping, and utility systems throughout a secure government facility. This includes potable water, waste/drainage systems, compressed air production and distribution systems, and related utility components.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience performing installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial plumbing systems and compressed air utilities.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working safely in industrial or commercial environments with plumbing and compressed air systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical schematics, blueprints, and piping diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • Applicable trade certifications or licenses such as:
  • Journeyman Plumber License or equivalent
  • Compressed Air Systems/Operator or Service Technician certification, or equivalent technical training in pneumatic/air systems
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to a U.S. Army installation (base access) in accordance with applicable government/customer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or vocational training in plumbing, mechanical trades, or industrial maintenance.
  • Previous experience in regulated, secure, or military/DoD facilities.
  • CMMS experience for work orders and documentation.
  • Additional certifications in related trades such as HVAC, mechanical, or pipefitting are desirable
  • Secret clearance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, valves, pumps, and associated mechanical components throughout facility infrastructure.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair compressed air systems, including compressors, dryers, receivers, filters, regulators, and distribution piping.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on potable water, sewer, storm drain, and compressed air utility systems.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams related to plumbing and compressed air systems.
  • Respond to work orders and emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and document maintenance activities, parts usage, and service reports.
  • Comply with all safety standards, regulations, and facility procedures in industrial and controlled-access environments.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and follow lockout/tagout procedures when required.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools related to plumbing and compressed air components.
