About The Position

Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking a Pizza Cook to join our outstanding culinary team! This vital role will work closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary Leaders to oversee / ensure successful execution of all operations relating to the kitchen, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated individual will prepare all hot/cold food items, to create pizza dishes in a modern, innovative and classic style. Be responsible for consistency and quality production and ensure all food is served according to specification . We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. If you have culinary experience in a hotel environment or restaurant, we would love to speak with you about this role. Salary range for this position (based on experience): $24.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other health-care benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Requirements

  • Display basic knife skills.
  • Minimum of 3 yrs experience in fast paced, culinary environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day.
  • Flexible Scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent from an accredited University or Institute preferred.
  • Servesafe Sanitation; ACF Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures cooking stations are sanitized and prepped with necessary tools.
  • Prepares and stores pizza dough.
  • Prepares pizza sauces.
  • Orders supplies, maintains inventory, creates budgets to ensure profitable food cost.
  • Trains other cooks in the preparation process so all meals are uniform.
  • Checks quality of pizzas before they’re served to guests.
  • Performs regular maintenance on kitchen equipment.
  • Collaborates with staff on menu items.
  • Resolves customer complaints with diplomacy.
  • Makes sure the kitchen is clean and sanitized.
