About The Position
To be of service. Sell, deliver and account for products in the dining room in a manner consistent with the SMI standards. These tasks are to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction. Exceed guests expectations, and make them feel special “Can do” attitude Sale (suggestive selling) Follow Fairmont standards for service Personal and financial accountability Proper and friendly service when in contact with all guests Control costs and waste Be pro-active by assisting co-workers Be familiar with all aspects and services of Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa Maintain extensive knowledge of menu, food preparation techniques Maintain extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, beer Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and service stations Serve from the cheese cart and maintain extensive knowledge of cheeses Other duties as assigned Side work duties
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to demonstrate use of good judgment
- Basic Math; cash handling skills necessary
- Food & Beverage experience
- Food handlers card
- Able to stand and be mobile for up to 6 hours.
- Flexable availability/ Open to work holidays and weekends
- Able to lift, bend and stoop to perform various tasks.
- Able to lift frequently and carry bus trays and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Able to move quickly and efficiently.
