About The Position

The PMA Engineer develops and manages aircraft component projects submitted to the FAA for Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required data packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or other Engineering Discipline
• 2-5 Years of prior experience in the design and/or manufacturing of aircraft parts.
• Knowledge of the design and construction of components installed on transport category aircraft
• Knowledge of FAA regulations
• Knowledge and experience using ASME Y14.5 Drafting practices
• Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gage and other standard metrology equipment.
• Optical Comparartor, CMM, FaroArm and other inspection equipment

Responsibilities

• Conduct reverse engineering analysis and product development for low to medium complexity aircraft parts.
• Prepare, review, and submit PMA certification data packages.
• Support and maintain existing PMA product lines.
• Collaborate cross functionally with technical support staff, supply chain personnel, and business development teams.
