PROMOTIONAL TEST for Police Lieutenant : Only current police sergeant for the City of Thibodaux are eligible to apply if qualified. Police Lieutenant Promotional Test Police Lieutenant Job Description MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have attained the rank of Sergeant or Desk Sergeant with the Thibodaux Police Department and must have held this position continuously for a period of two (2) years at the time of the examination for the rank of Lieutenant. Applicant must have five years of Law Enforcement experience (60 college semester hours in Law Enforcement curriculum may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience) Applicants who qualify must fill out the online application and note their law enforcement experience. If you qualify, I will email you a copy of the study guide by Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The written test will be administered on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Recreation Building at Peltier Park. The oral board exam will be announced at a later date.
