About The Position

Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is looking for a friendly and dependable Pool & Concessions Attendants to join our seasonal team. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to guests and members visiting the pool and concession areas while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and public health across all related facilities, including pools, spas, restrooms, and surrounding areas. Seasonal positions are available 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, 10:00 am- 5:00 pm, and 2:00 pm – 8:30 pm. You must be at least 18 years of age to work in the Beer Barn and serve beer and wine.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic swimming ability required.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Self-motivated with a positive, energetic attitude.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of six months in a customer service or related position preferred.
CPR, First Aid, or Lifesaving certification (or willing to obtain).
Ability to speak clearly, listen attentively, and read/follow instructions.
Must be able to stand, walk, and work in a hot, humid outdoor environment for extended periods.
Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, pull, and perform tasks using hands and fingers.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and take orders in a courteous and professional manner.
Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
Serve concession food, snacks, and beverages.
Sell sundries and merchandise related to recreation and pool use.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for pools, restrooms, and deck areas.
Monitor and clean restrooms, changing rooms, and surrounding spaces regularly.
Conduct daily water quality tests and maintain accurate records to ensure public health compliance.
Enforce pool rules and safe use of equipment.
Manage daily cash handling and inventory for equipment rentals in line with company procedures.
Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
Support special events and activities at the pool or Wellness Center as directed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Wellness Director.
