Job Overview Under general supervision, delivers exceptional, personalized food and beverage service to guests in a luxury rooftop pool environment. Creates a refined, relaxed, and memorable guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, presentation, and attentiveness.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 months of serving experience; luxury hotel, resort, or poolside service experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage service, with emphasis on upscale or high-volume environments.
  • Knowledge of cocktails, wine, and poolside dining service preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to remain professional and tactful in high-pressure or guest-facing situations.

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 lbs to include serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time.
  • Balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching handling, fingering throughout the shift.
  • Mobility -full range of mobility and the ability to travel up to 300 feet on a regular basis throughout the shift.
  • Continuous standing -during preparation, during service hours or during expediting.
  • Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
  • Ability to hear customers, supervisors, and communicate with other staff.
  • Ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including sun and heat.
  • Ability to see that product is prepared appropriately.
  • Must have moderate comprehension and literacy to read use records and all special requests.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive poolside service, including greeting guests, presenting menus, and taking food and beverage orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Deliver food and beverages to lounge chairs, cabanas, and poolside seating with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs and preferences, offering recommendations and ensuring a seamless, elevated experience throughout their visit.
  • Maintain consistent engagement with guests, ensuring service standards meet or exceed luxury hospitality expectations.
  • Accurately input orders, manage guest checks, and process payments in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of poolside service areas, including lounges, cabanas, and service stations.
  • Perform opening and closing side work, including restocking supplies, polishing glassware, and preparing service areas.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu offerings, including cocktails, wines, and seasonal specials, to confidently guide guest selections.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including poolside-specific guidelines.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests.
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and uphold brand standards at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with bartenders, kitchen staff, and pool attendants to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings to stay informed of daily offerings, VIP guests, and operational updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
