Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerBI, and/or QlikSense.
  • Knowledge of population health, healthcare databases, and EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Personal drive, action-oriented, quick learner.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced team environment as well as work independently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex data in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly executes data integrity audits on population health data sources, identifying and correcting for missing data, outliers, etc. within EHR and other reporting databases.
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, PowerBI, and QlikSense to facilitate comprehensive and accurate data analysis.
  • Supports the department in population health data sharing initiatives with external entities such as IPA, RHIO, SAMSHA, and evaluators.
  • Collaborates with management and other data analysis staff to develop and implement population health improvement initiatives based on data insights.
  • Works closely with program directors within various health sectors such as Outpatient, Residential, CCBHC, etc., to identify potential areas for improvement in population health trends.
  • Facilitates distribution, collection, and analysis of survey (clients, staff, referral sources, etc.) in relation to population health improvement initiatives.
  • Regularly reviews key performance indicators (KPIs), external reporting (ex. CCBHC, SOR, IPA, etc.), and system reports for accuracy and data integrity in relation to population health.
  • Supports the department in the provision of data related to marketing, grants, and other initiatives that require insights from population health data.
  • Actively participates in the continuous quality improvement program by identifying and analyzing data to pinpoint areas for improvement in population health, recommending changes based on data analysis as appropriate.
  • Takes on additional job functions as requested by supervisor.
