POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains facility in a state of good repair. Maintains the facility in a clean and sanitary condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency diploma or experience in general maintenance work.
• A valid NYS Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, sanitary environment. Sweeps and mops floors, vacuum rugs, cleans windows, dusts and polishes furniture and cleans bathrooms as indicated in the facility maintenance to do list.
• Maintains landscaping and lawns by utilizing lawn mower, hedge trimmer and other various garden equipment. Responsible for raking leaves and ensuring lawns are properly watered and maintained.
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Keeps sidewalks, yards, stairs and around the site, driveways and steps clean from debris.
• Duties may require shoveling snow, as well as salt and sand areas.
• Keeps bathrooms stocked with paper towels, toilet tissue and soap.
• Work schedules and location are subject to change.
• Other duties as requested.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Attend certificate and non-certificate classes given on an annual basis.
