The Night Shift Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the terminal facility, including the dock, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily operations by ensuring that the work environment remains safe, sanitary, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes initiative to keep the facility in top condition.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in janitorial, warehouse, or facilities maintenance role preferred.
Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely (e.g., floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums).
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Adherence to all OTT Safety, Quality, ISO and HR policies and standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain overall cleanliness of the terminal, including dock areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and offices.
Sweep and mop dock floors regularly; operate industrial sweepers or scrubbers to maintain floor safety and appearance.
Remove trash, debris, and discarded materials from the dock and warehouse areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with paper products, soap, and other supplies.
Clean and disinfect breakrooms, including tables, chairs, countertops, appliances, and sinks.
Empty and dispose of trash from bins located throughout the facility in accordance with safety and recycling guidelines.
Restock and organize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) stations for warehouse and dock employees.
Notify management promptly when cleaning supplies, restroom items, or PPE inventory is running low.
Assist with minor facility maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning spills, or basic repairs.
Maintain cleanliness of building entrances, sidewalks, and exterior areas as needed.
Support special cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance tasks as assigned.
