We are seeking a Portfolio Implementation Associate to join our New York City based team. As a member of the Portfolio Implementation team at Lazard Asset Management, your day-to-day activities will include: We’ll trust you to: Respond to internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of required materials. Review and verify daily order tickets for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with portfolio guidelines and model intent. Monitor account‑level cash positions and ensure portfolios remain aligned with model targets and mandate constraints. Support weekly management‑group audits and internal control reviews, documenting exceptions and assisting with remediation. Validate managed SMA models to confirm they remain consistent with internal model portfolios and investment guidelines. Participate in periodic New Account Meetings with Operations, Compliance, and Relationship Management; communicate relevant actions and updates back to the Portfolio Implementation team. Coordinate with Portfolio Managers on corporate‑action‑related elections (e.g., tender offers, optional dividends) and communicate final decisions to State Street. Maintain strong working relationships across PMs, Trading, Operations, and Compliance to ensure smooth implementation and issue resolution. Contribute to process improvements, workflow automation, and data‑quality checks to reduce operational risk. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, teamwork, communication skills, and analytical capability, including math‑oriented tasks and portfolio‑level data.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment management, portfolio implementation, trading support, operations, or a comparable oversight/control-oriented function.
  • High attention to detail with a demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through in a control‑focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Operations, and Compliance.
  • Experience with order management or portfolio management systems (e.g., Charles River) preferred; willingness to learn and adapt to new systems required.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools and technologies (e.g., automation, predictive analytics, workflow or data‑quality tools) and their application in process improvement or financial workflows.
