About The Position

The Portfolio Specialist I position assists in day-to-day management of client portfolios and the investment management process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-year previous experience in the investment field (including trading, reporting, and investment procedures) may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• High level of attention to detail while pursuing quality in accomplishing tasks and ensuring timeliness of work
• Proficient reading, verbal and written communication, computer, and interpersonal relations skills
• Competent working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and trust accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the coordination and execution of daily mutual funds, stocks, and bond trading.
• Participate in investment strategy discussions and analysis of portfolios and underlying positions.
• Assist in monthly portfolio review and follow-up to ensure compliance.
• Assist with various administrative, filing, record-keeping, and organizational functions.
• Assist with the maintenance of the portfolio management system(s) regarding rules, model maintenance, allocations, and report packages. Monitor maturing bonds, directed trades, and authorizations.
• Assist with the daily trading of portfolio strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations as needed.
• Participate in the preparation of the monthly Trust Investment Policy Committee packet.
• Participate in the preparation of the quarterly Investment Strategy Committee.
• Monitor/Review/Update information pertaining to Investment Policy Statements (IPS) for all discretionary accounts.
