About The Position

Join Amgen’s Mission of Serving Patients At Amgen, if you feel like you’re part of something bigger, it’s because you are. Our shared mission—to serve patients living with serious illnesses—drives all that we do. Since 1980, we’ve helped pioneer the world of biotech in our fight against the world’s toughest diseases. With our focus on four therapeutic areas –Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease– we reach millions of patients each year. As a member of the Amgen team, you’ll help make a lasting impact on the lives of patients as we research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines to help people live longer, fuller happier lives. Our award-winning culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based. If you have a passion for challenges and the opportunities that lay within them, you’ll thrive as part of the Amgen team. Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career. Postdoctoral Fellow – Inflammation What you will do Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will In this vital role you will advance foundational science to better understand the mechanisms underlying inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. Your research will begin with the study of human genetics and pathobiology and integrate multiomics approaches in human cells and mouse models to explore the intersection of immune and stromal biology. You will investigate gene regulation in cellular systems to uncover pathways that drive complex traits including cell and tissue function (and dysfunction). This is an academic-style role focused on publishing impactful research but grounded in a translational mission: to generate biological insights that inform the development of future therapeutics. The Stromal-Immune Group within the Inflammation Therapeutic Area is dedicated to uncovering mechanisms that support target identification and validation, while also enabling the development of therapeutic molecules. As part of this team, you will engage with scientists across research functions and gain meaningful exposure to the breadth of expertise that supports drug discovery—from early biology to molecule design. The goal of this work is to generate novel insights that will lead to high-impact publications and contribute to the scientific community. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful science while gaining insight into the processes that translate research into new therapies.
