About The Position

The Yang Lab focuses on liquid biopsy research and longitudinal monitoring of cancer progression. The Yang lab is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a background in molecular/cellular biology/cancer genetics, genomics, biomarkers, and related fields, to work at the interface of cancer biology and cancer genomics. The successful candidate will lead projects on the characterization of human cancers, perform experiments characterizing circulating tumor cells, circulating tumor DNAs, and circulating tumor RNAs in clinical samples, and carry out analyses linking findings in the tumor genome and epigenome to patient outcomes. Potential projects include but are not limited to the generation of novel multi-omic datasets of various cancer types. Approaches utilized include sequencing of single circulating tumor cells, circulating tumor DNA, circulating tumor RNAs, exosomes, biochemistry, and bioinformatics. Thomas Jefferson University is an equal opportunity employer with a strong commitment to enhancing the diversity of its faculty and staff.
