Perform cutting-edge research focused on developing behavioral strategies for key epilepsy mutation that fall in the category of Developmental and Epilepsy and Encephalopathy. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of genetics and behavior, addressing critical challenges facing behavioral assessment of gene function. The research will involve a combination of genetic, physiological and behavioral studies aimed at improving our understanding epilepsy, behavior, and neural circuits underlying function of the nervous system at an organismal level. The successful candidate will prepare manuscripts for publication, reports for funding agencies, operation of research equipment, supervision of graduate students and other lab/field personnel in research. The successful candidate will also work with other behavioral geneticists to facilitate the dissemination and adoption of research outcomes.
