The C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry at West Virginia University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Under the leadership of Professor Lisa Holland, this position will conduct research in the field of capillary electrophoresis separations, enzyme-based analyses, fluorescence detection absorbance detection and mass spectrometry. Capillary electrophoresis analyses will be conducted on biologically relevant molecules to correlate protein and ligand sialylation with enzyme and receptor interactions. The research requires capillary electrophoresis and microfluidic electrophoresis method development and application of optical and mass spectrometry detectors. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. The Department of Chemistry consists of 10 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 10 teaching faculty, and approximately 55 graduate students, organized around traditional and cross-cutting research areas.
