About The Position

The intern will support the design, development, and validation of a potency functional characterization assay within the Potency Analytical Development Team. This role offers hands-on laboratory experience and exposure to assay development processes, data analysis, and scientific documentation. The intern will collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to ensure robust assay performance and compliance with regulatory standards. The full-time internship will take place June - August 2026.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
  • Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with cell-based or biochemical assays
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Prior internship or industrial laboratory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and optimization of potency functional characterization assays
  • Perform laboratory experiments, including sample preparation, assay execution, and data collection
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to assess assay performance
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations in the electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Support assay validation activities when appropriate
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot
  • Present findings and progress in team meetings
  • Maintain laboratory safety and compliance with standard operating procedures
