About The Position

AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Business Analyst to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports. This role supports healthcare and Medicaid reporting and requires strong technical BI skills along with the ability to translate business needs into data-driven insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• Strong knowledge of DAX, data modeling (star schema), and Power Query
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of UX/UI principles and data storytelling
• Knowledge of BI concepts (ETL, governance, reporting lifecycle)
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Must be local to Arizona (current location must be listed on resume)
• Must be available for in-person interview and quick start

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare or Medicaid domain experience (claims, eligibility, encounters)
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse
• Power Automate and Power Apps integration
• Agile/Scrum environment experience
• Python or R experience (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Create data models, DAX measures, KPIs, and visualizations
• Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query
• Translate business and reporting requirements into BI solutions
• Optimize report performance and manage datasets in Power BI Service
• Ensure BI governance, data security, and reporting best practices
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams
